As an artist, I want my work to be neither inside nor outside the box. What can be a classy, modern editorial shot can also be twisted into a unique perspective. What can be a classic headshot, derived of location, can also be turned into a bold and daring piece of art in a matter angle, position, style and - above all - connection. When acquainted with a subject, they must stand out. And whatever they’re showing off, whether that be an item of clothing, makeup, a product, or themselves must correlate with the colouring, environment and direction while still obtaining the centre of attention. 

Outside of the preciseness of the art, I also enjoy capturing landscapes and anything in terms of nature. I grew up with the love of nature in Scotland specifically, however live in a small, dull town in England. And so, when given the chance every now and then visiting, I allow nature to direct my eye and lens, and try to capture it’s beauty the best I can. This means that everything seen or felt by it, I try to communicate through my photographs. Whether that be a scene so lonely and untouched by people, yet so alive in itself; an element in it’s most extravagant form; or even how to make a small, unintimidating subject or place look overwhelming.

The goal is for my photographs to have a connection with the audience, and either tell a story, or be completely frozen in a single moment - which I believe shows through my currently growing portfolio of work.
